Call for Abstracts on Taxation for Uganda Living Law Journal

The Uganda Law Reform Commission invites submissions of abstracts for consideration in Volume 12 of the Uganda Living Law Journal, scheduled for publication in September 2025.

The Journal serves as a platform for promoting access to justice and creating public awareness on contemporary legal issues. It features legal and socio-legal articles, as well as leading judgments on topical matters affecting Uganda.

The theme for this edition is Taxation, with the following sub themes:

Tax procedures

Tax assessment

Licensing

Policy

Dispute settlement

Abstracts should not exceed 250 words and must include the author’s name, academic and professional affiliation, contact details, qualifications, and the abstract title.

Submissions should be sent by email to Ms. Swabrah Hafsa Isanga (swabrah.isanga@ulrc.go.ug) and copied to Mr. Philip Odoki (philip.odoki@ulrc.go.ug) no later than 10th October 2025.

Applicants whose abstracts are accepted will be notified by 31st October 2025. Full papers will undergo peer review by the Editorial Board, and successful papers will be published in a special edition of the Journal.
